Атмосферика - в темряві
Emotional teaser for Atmosferyka's track "v temryavi" (2025). Featuring mobile footage processing, real CRT effects, DOF simulation, and hand-drawn typography.
The project for the song "v temryavi" became a true creative and technical challenge for me. The artist asked for a teaser and cover art for a highly emotional release, but I received a critically small amount of source footage, which was also shot on a standard smartphone. The main task was to hide the technical flaws of the footage, visually "enrich" the picture, and convey the deep dynamics of the song.
Video Production
To prevent the video from looking like an amateur phone recording, I applied several complex VFX solutions. First, I artificially emulated a Depth of Field (DOF) effect to blur the background and give the shots cinematic volume. Since there was a catastrophic lack of footage for dynamic editing, I resorted to practical effects: I fed the image onto an old CRT TV and manually re-shot it from the screen. This allowed me to create stylish analog cutaways and glitches that perfectly broke up the visuals and set the right rhythm. To heighten the emotional impact, I used hand-drawn typography. Despite the severe limitations of the raw materials, I managed to turn this flaw into a unique style and deliver a truly engaging, energetic piece.

Cover Design
Working on the cover art happened in two drastically different stages. The first concept (which I kept in the Creation Process section) was very dark, gloomy, and oversaturated with hand-drawn elements and text. Although it was stylish, the artist felt it didn't fully capture his vision. We decided to do a conceptual 180-degree turn and went for absolute contrast. The final idea was to depict the artist in the middle of a pitch-black night forest, but to make him the source of intense light. He literally glows, piercing the darkness around him. This created a very powerful visual metaphor that perfectly highlighted the song's title, "v temryavi" (in the dark).

Socials & Promo
For the song's promo campaign, I also created a dynamic animation of the cover art. Since the final visual had a rather cold but highly saturated color palette, I decided to play on a sharp visual contrast. Using a bright red color for the text was the perfect solution—it fit incredibly harmoniously into the overall composition, adding the necessary aggressive dynamics to the animation and making it highly eye-catching in social media feeds.
