Filming a live performance for Vasily Richter — a Ukrainian indie artist blending LA garage rock and Australian psychedelia vibes — was an entirely new experience for me. It was the first concert I had ever attended, and simultaneously my first time shooting a live show. The main goal was to capture the wild energy of the event and record the full performance of the song "Tebya pridumala moya golova" while preserving the raw emotions of the live gig.
Video Production
This project in Lviv in 2022 became a true creative challenge and an incredible source of inspiration for me. Armed with a Canon EOS M50 camera, I found myself in the epicenter of a concert crowd as a videographer for the very first time. The task was not just to document the performance, but to create a fully-fledged live music video for the song "Tebya pridumala moya golova". The concert left such a powerful impression on me that I completed the entire editing process in record time — just 24 hours. To emphasize the psychedelic and garage rock mood of the music, I decided to go beyond standard cutting. During post-production, I integrated custom mixed-media animation inserts into the video, with every graphic element drawn by me entirely by hand. This gave the video a unique, crafted character and perfectly complemented the artist's indie aesthetic.
